Norwegian Cruise Line is unveiling new Caribbean itineraries departing from New Orleans and Port Canaveral starting later this year.

The new cruises will be offered aboard the ships Norwegian Getaway and Norwegian Epic.

Travelers can enjoy seven-day rountrip sailings to the Western Caribbean from New Orleans on Norwegian Getaway starting Oct. 20. Trips to the Eastern Caribbean from Port Canaveral on Norwegian Epic will begin on Oct. 30.

Bookings will open sometime next month.

The cruise line decided to roll out the new sailings because of strong demand for trips to warm-weather locales in the fall. The ships will be returning to the United States after spending the summer cruising around the Mediterranean and Greek Isles.

“The Caribbean continues to be a hotspot for our guests all around the world, especially during the fall and winter seasons,” says David J. Herrera, Norwegian Cruise Line’s president.

“We are constantly looking to provide our guests with the best vacation possible, especially from accessible homeports, and it was a no-brainer to bring two of our largest ships to sail more picturesque, tropical cruises from New Orleans and Port Canaveral," Herrera continued.
