Life Is Strange Meets a Midlife Crisis in The Wreck, Out Now on Android

Life is Strange meets a midlife crisis in The Wreck, a beautiful game that sees you travelling into the past to correct the present.

If you like Life is Strange and have an Android phone, you should head on over to Google Play right now and grab The Wreck. It’s a very similar experience, but played out in first person.

You play as Junon, who is having what can only be described as a midlife crisis. She’s unhappy with her career, has difficulties in her personal life, and is “emotionally numb”.

What’s The Wreck About?

The story picks up as she’s called to the ER where her estranged mother is in a critical condition. This triggers some Life is Strange-style time manipulation.

You can explore Junon’s past to learn more about her, unlocking new dialogue options in the present. This can help change the story and affect your relationships with other characters.

It’s not just dialogue options though. You can actually completely alter the present by making key decisions in the past as you play through various different moments in Junon’s life.

Why Are There Words Everywhere?

Junon is a screenwriter by trade, and words play a big role in the experience. In the screenshots I’ve seen so far, words plaster the screen, adding texture to the goings on around you.

If you’d like to check out The Wreck, head on over to Google Play and grab it. You can download it for free to test it out, with a single purchase of £7.99 / $7.99 to unlock the full game.

What Else Can I Play?

If you like the look of The Wreck, and want more experiences like it, start with Life is Strange itself. You can grab it on Google Play for free with IAPs to unlock new chapters.
