New Delhi: Andaman is a popular tourist destination in India. The crystal clear water, the long beaches with white sand, the diverse flora and fauna, the islands and the jungles make it a mesmerising place to visit and spend some time in peace and solitude. Andaman is a perfect place to ramble around or simply chill out on sun-toasted beaches.

That is why, the IRCTC has rolled out a tour package for Andaman covering some of the most important places there. In this article, we will inform you about the details of this tour package, including cost and itinerary.

The features of the package

  • The name of the tour package is ‘AMAZING ANDAMAN EX DELHI’ and the destinations that will be covered are Port Blair, Havelock Island, Neil Island, Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose Island (Ross Island) and Noth Bay.
  • The duration of the tour is five nights and six days and it will take place on December 12 and January 15.

The cost of the package

  • Single Occupancy: Rs 89,500.
  • Double Occupancy: Rs 72,600.
  • Triple Occupancy: Rs 70,990.
  • Child with bed (5 to 11 years): Rs 63,970.
  • Child without bed (5 to 11 years): Rs 60,470.

The itinerary of the tour

  • Day 1: The tourists will depart from Delhi Airport by flight at 6:15 a.m. They will arrive at Port Blair at 11:20 a.m. From there, they will go to the hotel and have lunch. At around 1:30 p.m., they will proceed to visit the Cellular Jail. Later, they will go to Corbyn’s Cove Beach, one of the most picturesque, coconut palm-fringed beaches. In the evening, they will visit the Light and Sound Show at the Cellular Jail.
  • Day 2: The tourists will visit the Naval Museum and Anthropological Museum. Then they will visit Coral Island to see coral reefs, exotic varieties of beautiful ornamental fishes and other marine life. Then they will visit Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose Island (Ross Island). Later, they will return to Port Blair.
  • Day 3: They will proceed to Havelock Island early in the morning. They will enjoy the afternoon at Radhanagar Beach and later the Kalapathar Beach.
  • Day 4: After breakfast, they will check out and proceed to visit Elephant Beach. Later, they will proceed to Neil Island. They will visit the Lakshmanpur Beach for sunset.
  • Day 5: They will visit the Natural Bridge on Neil Island and later visit Bharatpur Beach. Then they will come back to Port Blair and spend the night at a hotel.
  • Day 6: The tourists will go to the airport after breakfast to catch the flight to New Delhi.
