VIVA Cruises has shared details about its 2025 sailings, including new trips on Portugal’s Douro River.
The river cruise line, based in Düsseldorf, Germany, will offer 64 different itineraries next year, including Douro sailings round trip from Porto aboard its new ship Porto Mirante.
Another new ship, Viva Enjoy, is set to hit the water later this year. In 2025, the vessel will offer a variety of different itineraries, from 14-night “Great European” itineraries between Amsterdam and Budapest to 4-night wellness cruises roundtrip from Frankfurt on the Rhine.
The vessel Swiss Ruby, which is slated for a refurbishment over the winter, will offer a themed “Theater Cruise” from Düsseldorf to Berlin.
In 2025, VIVA will visit several new ports. In addition to stops in Portugal, the line will visit Lelystad, Middelburg and Bruinisse in the Netherlands, as well as Braubach in Germany.
“We recorded increased demand last year, particularly from international markets,” says Andrea Kruse, the line’s chief executive officer. “We want to meet this demand in the coming year with new departure and landing ports, new routes and new content.”
