Sea Cloud Spirit Kicks Off 2025 Season in Puerto Rico

Sea Cloud Cruises, one of the world’s most storied names in cruising, has released its 2025 Caribbean season headlined by four new itineraries featuring Puerto Rico on Sea Cloud Spirit.

Homeporting in San Juan throughout the month of January 2025, the newest and largest sailing yacht in the Sea Cloud Cruises fleet passing by the Castillo San Felipe del Morro “El Morro” will be a majestic moment for both guests onboard and shoreside onlookers. Each new itinerary features overnights in boutique Caribbean ports including St. Barts, Virgin Gorda and Norman Island allowing extra time to enjoy local culinary and nightlife scenes. Favorite Sea Cloud Cruises Caribbean activities such as beach barbecues, crew-led sea shanty singalongs and photo safaris under full sail are also included.

“Old San Juan’s narrow cobblestone streets, lively music and aromas of mofongo set the perfect scene for Sea Cloud Spirit guests to begin or conclude their Caribbean journey,” said Mirell Reyes, president of Sea Cloud Cruises, in a media announcement. “Puerto Rico’s robust airlift with direct service from over 20 gateways across North America gives travelers flexibility and our team is poised to reveal special programming on these sailings in the coming weeks.”

The hoisting of the sails is a thrilling moment on every Sea Cloud cruise.

On each of the three sailing yachts, the sails are still traditionally hoisted by hand—an impressive and stunning job every time. There are no buttons that can simply be pressed and it takes almost a full hour until all sails catch the wind. Each voyage includes at least one day under full sail, a highlight of the Sea Cloud Cruises experience.

Sea Cloud Cruises voyages include open bar, all meals with exclusive wine and beer selections, water sports, port charges, gratuities and welcome bottle of champagne upon embarkation. Puerto Rico voyage fares start at $5,130 pp dbl on bookings by Feb. 28, 2024.
